Last summer, i encountered a really scary experience. During my first day (girls, you know what i mean. :D), i felt really dizzy, my whole body feels like a big truck was put on me and the world spins when i tried to stand up. When i woke up from a nap at around 1pm, i felt that i need to use the comfort room. I went downstairs. At first, it was okay, it's really normal to feel those things but after a while, my vision started to get blurred and i feel like I'm going to collapse. The next thing i know was I was lying on our sofa. My tatay brought me to the hospital. There, the nurse injected a pain reliever. After a while, the doctor talked to me and asked what happened. They conducted urine and blood test, gave me some medicine and advised me to have a rest.
The story spread fast. Our neighbors asked tatay what happened to me. One of tatay's friend is a retired soldier who has a daughter taking up nursing. He told him what happened and asked his daughter about that "girl thing". Kristel, his daughter, said that she too experienced it and some of her friends advised her to drink TAHO or SOYA MILK everyday. Soya milk is a beverage made from soybeans. A stable emulsion of oil, water, and protein, it is produced by soaking dry soybeans and grinding them with water. Soy milk contains about the same proportion of protein as cow's milk: around 3.5%; also 2% fat, 2.9% carbohydrate, and 0.5% ash. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soy_milk)
I tried drinking taho. It serves as my breakfast. I also exercise and make sure to have enough hour of sleep.
After 2 weeks, I went to my doctor (not the one who attended on me after the incident) and let her check me up. I told her what happened and she explain that it is normal to feel pain during periods but collapsing is really alarming. She added that it is caused by stress, lack of exercise and sleep. She advised me to take multivitamins and exercise everyday. I told her I was drinking taho everyday and i felt that it helped me recover fast. She told me that there are proofs that Soya can help. I can drink but not too much.
But mind you guys, it really works! I feel better now. Of course with vitamins, sleep and exercise. During my period, i don't experience body pains and dizziness anymore. The best thing that happened was i lost weight and i have a smaller waist line now.
Until now, i continue drinking Taho during breakfast.
You can try that too! Of course with proper diet and exercise. Nothing to lose if you try. :)
HAVE A NICE DAY!
